FRANKFURT, Germany – The wait is finally over. Team Germany has officially announced its full line-up for the 2025 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN), and it features one of the sport’s biggest names. Superstar Ken Roczen will represent Germany in the MXGP class, joining Simon Längenfelder in MX2 and Maximilian Spies in the Open category. The trio will compete on October 4–5, 2025, at the world-renowned Ironman Raceway in Indiana, USA.
Roczen Confirmed for MXGP Class
Roczen, now 31 years old, is one of the most accomplished riders in international motocross. This season, he also obtained U.S. citizenship in addition to his German nationality, which made him eligible to represent either Team USA or Germany. After recovering from injury, Roczen has chosen to line up for his home nation.
Fans were given a preview of his return to form during his comeback race at the U.S. Pro Motocross Championship, where he showed impressive speed and competitive strength. Roczen is no stranger to success at the MXoN, having secured the MXGP individual win at the 2023 event in France. The Ironman Raceway is also a familiar venue for him, which adds an extra layer of confidence heading into October.
Speaking about the announcement, Roczen shared his excitement:
“I am excited to be a part of Team Germany again for the 2025 Motocross of Nations. It’s such a special event you get to represent your country, and to have it back in the USA, close to my home, makes it even better. Ironman is a really technical track, and I’m looking forward to lining up against the best riders in the world again. I’ll give it everything I have. With Simon and Maximilian as teammates, we have a strong team this year. Let’s get it going.”
A Strong and Balanced German Team
Alongside Roczen, Simon Längenfelder will take the MX2 spot. The young German is coming off a strong season and has proven his ability to compete against the world’s best in his class. Meanwhile, Maximilian Spies rounds out the team in the Open category, bringing fresh talent and determination to the line-up.
Team managers Marcel Dornhöfer and Karsten Schneider expressed their satisfaction with the final roster:
“Ken was always our first choice for the MXGP class. We stayed in constant contact with him and his team, and he showed interest early on. However, we had to wait and see how his recovery went. Now that he’s healthy and ready, we couldn’t be happier. With Ken, Simon, and Maximilian, we have a team that combines experience and new ambition. We believe this is one of the strongest German line-ups we’ve ever fielded.”
Fan Excitement and Merchandise
With the announcement of Roczen’s participation, Team Germany fans have even more reason to be excited. New team merchandise is expected to be released ahead of the MXoN, giving supporters the chance to show their pride as the team heads into the world’s most prestigious motocross event.
Looking Ahead to Indiana
The Motocross of Nations is often called the “Olympics of Motocross,” with the world’s best riders representing their countries in a unique team format. The 2025 edition at Ironman Raceway is expected to attract huge crowds and intense competition. Team Germany, with its blend of experience, speed, and youthful energy, is set to be a serious contender.
Motocross fans worldwide will be watching closely to see if Roczen can once again deliver a standout performance and lead Germany to the podium.
