Caitlin Clark may not have had her best shooting night, but her passing game was on full display Sunday afternoon as she orchestrated the Indiana Fever’s impressive 102-83 win over the Dallas Wings. Still recovering from a groin injury that had sidelined her for two weeks, Clark looked every bit the elite playmaker the WNBA has come to expect — even if her jumper wasn’t falling at her usual clip.

Finishing the game with 14 points, three rebounds, 13 assists, and five steals, Clark delivered one of her most well-rounded performances of the season. Her 13 assists marked a season high and tied for the second-most in a single game in her young WNBA career. Perhaps even more impressively, she was responsible for 41 of the Fever’s 102 points, either by scoring or assisting.

In just 52 career games, Clark now has 17 point-assist double-doubles, tying her with Natasha Cloud for fifth-most in WNBA history — a staggering achievement given the others on the list have all played several hundred games. For context, no other player in Fever history has more than 11 such games combined.

Reflecting on her performance, Clark said, “I thought my playmaking was really good, there was no reason for me to really shoot that much. I think we were just firing on all cylinders. Moving the ball well, getting to the next action, playing out of pick-and-roll well.”

That unselfish, high-IQ approach was on full display throughout the game. The Fever finished with 30 assists on 40 made field goals, a remarkable 75% assist rate, which Clark rightfully called out as a major sign of the team’s chemistry.

“That’s really impressive and just shows the selflessness of this group,” she added. “You’re just trying to find your teammate, get to the next action, give up a good shot for a great shot. Just really proud of this group and how we share the ball. It makes us really hard to guard.”

To truly appreciate Clark’s court vision and instinct, let’s take a closer look at five of her most impressive assists from this standout performance:

5. Pocket Pass to Aliyah Boston

One of Clark’s favorite and most effective weapons is the pocket pass, and she executed it to perfection early in the second half. After pushing the tempo and drawing multiple defenders, Clark reset at the top of the key, initiating a **high pick-and-roll with Aliyah Boston
