Despite being six months away from officially signing with LSU, Harlem Berry, the standout running back from St. Martin’s Episcopal School, remains unwavering in his commitment to the Tigers. Berry, who verbally committed to LSU earlier this year, is resolute in his decision to don the Purple and Gold.
“I’ve made up my mind,” Berry said confidently. “Choosing LSU felt like the best decision for me. I didn’t want to take any more visits. I saw what I needed to see, and that was it.”
Ranked by On3 as the No. 1 running back in the nation, Berry has faced his share of skeptics regarding his top billing. Yet, he showcased his versatility and talent at a recent 7-on-7 event, silencing critics by excelling in various roles on the field.

“This offseason, I’ve been working on my receiving skills, especially in the slot,” Berry explained. “At the 7-on-7 event, I put my talents on display and hopefully proved my doubters wrong.”
Berry played for the Fleaux 7-on-7 super team, a squad packed with LSU commits, including Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit for 2025.
“It was a fantastic experience,” Berry reflected. “Playing with Bryce was great. He has a high football IQ and is a phenomenal quarterback. He’d often adjust routes and find ways to get me open. His throws were spot on.”
Set to graduate from St. Martin’s this fall, Berry plans to enroll early at LSU, making this semester his last in high school. His upcoming transition to college football marks an exciting new chapter for one of the nation’s top prospects.
